Yella Beezy Co-signs Lubbock’s Own SWB as R&B Duo Reunites for Major Comeback

LUBBOCK, TX — After carving out successful solo careers and racking up millions of streams, Lubbock’s own SWB is officially back together — and the city just got another reason to pay attention after a major co-sign from Dallas rapper Yella Beezy.

The R&B duo, who got their start at Estacado High School, originally signed under Lil Melv and helped spark a movement that the city still remembers. Now, they’re back to finish what they started — and take it to a whole new level.

“Lubbock never got to fully see what we had planned,” said Bryson Murphy of SWB. “But we’re ready now — and the goal is to bring back real R&B. The kind that makes you feel something.”

Both members were decorated in high school choir and have since found solo success, each surpassing one million streams. With a new album in the works and summer shows lined up — including a performance at Tennessee Titans star Jeffery Simmons’ Community Day — SWB is focused on making love songs cool again and giving fans a reason to believe in R&B.

The city may have slept on them once. This time, SWB’s making sure nobody misses it.
